We moved our daughter her mid-school year because she was just not having growth in her public school. She is capable of so much but only works as hard as she is pushed to work. Here she has absolutely blossomed. She loves to go to school every day, she has made so many friends, she has learned how to do research projects and has grown in her self confidence so much already. The school has been nothing but above excellent with her IEP and with helping us make sure that her medical care is a priority and all staff are trained and prepared to meet her needs. I cannot recommend this school enough for anyone who feels like their kids just not meeting their potential in their current school. Kids here learn how to learn, they learn to manage their own time, and they learn to be good people and to appreciate diversity and see beauty in peace and kindness!
We have been a Geist Montessori Academy family for 6 years now and we wouldn't want it any other way! Our kids are thriving and the staff have become a bit like family. It is true that there were some rough times at the school THREE AND FOUR YEARS AGO due to some horrible hiring decisions and situations that were NOT created by anyone currently at the school. Give it a chance and take a tour with Ms. Jen today!
I have been at Geist Montessori Academy since kindergarten, and I absolutely love our school. I haven't known anybody that disliked the school or teachers. Many of our students are highly advanced due to our philosophy of teaching at your own pace. Our special education resources are phenomenal and the teachers and staff truly love and care about every single child here. Peace, equality, and just teaching kids to get along with one another are of big importance at our school. We try to prepare students for success and the real world in the best way possible. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to attend this school and develop the relationships I have.
