Overall Experience: Every year at Gilbert has been a different experience for me. Freshman year I didn't like the school very much because I struggled with the academics as a result of teachers who demanded too much from a new high school student and I didn't really get involved in any extracurricular activities. However, once sophomore year rolled around I found myself with amazing teachers and involved in extracurricular activities which opened my horizons and allowed me to meet many new people. Entering senior year, I can say that overall I have had a very positive experience at Gilbert.

Educational Outcomes: The school is fairly decent.. I am a senior and have attended all four years. Most of the teachers are nice and easy to get along with and the people in administration and counseling area are nice and helpful! As far as preparing its students for the real world and college, the school needs improvement. I had one teacher who actually tried to help set us up for the real world and that was my government teacher Mr. Bracken. I had pretty good english teachers however, my math teachers weren't very good. I think the teachers need to be more lenient when it comes to having an occasional tardy to class. The school seems to be more concerned about monitoring students on social media more than giving them an education. Overall I enjoyed attending Gilbert High, and our senior pranks make us social media famous every year!
