Overall Experience: James A Garfield is the best school I have attend to be honest. I always look forward to going to school and makes me feel good to know that a school could influence in such a way. I am really proud to be a Bulldog and so is every other student in the school is also proud. I would choose to attend this school if I had the chance to do all over again except I will try to actually take advantage of all the opportunities Garfield High School has to offer.

Health & Safety: Bullying is not a issue in my school. We all get along pretty fine with each other. The school is a safe environment nobody gets hurt inside the school. The nurse cares for you like if she was your mother, even though most of the cures she gives you would be an ice pack. I feel safe in my school, I know nothing will harm me in school. School is literally like a second home to me and others in my school.

Food: The food service is great. The cafeteria is always maintained clean and the employees are always attentive while heating up the food. The food itself is okay. You get a variety of types of food, but the drink for lunch is always milk. I personally do not like milk as much as others but I have to drink something to wash down my food. The cafeteria always offers vegetables and fruits such as apples. pears, bananas, carrots, broccoli, and grapes.

Administration & Policies: The principal, guidance counselors, and office staff are always helping the students. The principle every morning stands in front of the school entrance to encourage us to attend and be ready for the school day. The guidance counselors are always happy to answer questions about your academics, but the problem with trying to visit the guidance counselors is that there is a wait list to talk to them.
