Health & Safety: The security measures at Robinson are great but could be better. Most doors are locked during the school day and after hours. The doors that remain unlocked are the side doors by the gym and locker rooms, which are fairly easy to access. All visitors are required to sign in at the front office and are not allowed to enter the school unless they are let in by staff. We also have a resource officer patrolling the campus through out the day to make sure there are no problems. Students are also advised to make healthy choices when it comes to lunch. There is a variety of options in the lunchroom ranging from a salad bar to quick bites. The nurse is on call most of the time through out the school day in case of emergencies. Robinson does a good job in keeping everyone safe through out the school day.

Extracurriculars: We have a very abundant amount of clubs and activities offered at Jay M. Robinson. All of these clubs have their doors wide open and anyone can join anytime. There are clubs for different ethnic groups, culture submersion, language, academic excellence and specific clubs for those who are interested in a career in art, medical or engineering perspective. I am very involved in student council which works hard to put on homecoming and semi-formal during the school year. I also have the opportunity to help the community and fellow students within our own school.

Overall Experience: My experience at Jay M. Robinson has been exceptional. I have participated in several clubs that are involved in the community as well as helping our fellow students at school. The athletic programs at Robinson are very much supported by the parents and students. Stands at every sports game are full of fans to help the players score that goal/basket/touchdown. Attending this school for 3 years and going on 4, has been a true blessing. I have met so many people and amazing teachers who are willing to go the extra mile to further my education.

Most of the teachers have a genuine knowledge in their field and even go above and beyond to explain their knowledge to their students with tutoring sessions, fun and engaging activities to help students pursue their future careers and ready them for college.
