Health & Safety: The health and safety policies at Jenks high school is very prominent. JHS provide the safest environment possible for students and staff. Our school rehearsed disaster-preparedness drills often. Also, health program at my school is excellent and the nurses always inform parents about a contagious disease on the school website. The school nurse are well positioned and provide direct care to students with injuries and illness. All in all, I felt completely safe at my school and never had a bad experience throughout my high school year.

Extracurriculars: Jenks High School provide many extracurricular opportunities. JHS strongly encourages students to become involved in clubs and organization since the recent studies show that students who participate in school activities are found to be more successful than students who do not. Also, the attendance and membership do not affect students' class grades. The sponsored clubs and organizations available at JHS are Art Club, Band, Cheerleading, DECA, French Club, German Club, National Honor Society, Key Club, FCCLA, AVID Club, Vocal Music, Pre-Med Society, and Student Council etc. During my high school year, I joined Key Club, FCCLA and AVID Club. These clubs that I participated in helped me gain new experiences and learn how to engage with diverse groups of people. More importantly, all these three clubs encourage students to volunteer in the community. Volunteering was always fun and was a great way to meet new people.

Overall Experience: I would still choose this school if I could do it all over again. Throughout my high school years, I had seen that parents at this school were supportive and had a positive impacts on the school's environment. The parents were willing to help to enhance school programs and learning sources for each classes. All students in JHS were introduced to Chromebooks in my junior year. The school provided Chromebooks to every ninth to 12th graders to help the students prepare for college. Chromebooks improve the education system in JHS and was greatly beneficial to students who could not afford to buy one for themselves. With the help of Chromebooks students were able to make transition to college, which they were interested in going after competing their high school diploma, more easier.

Teachers: Jenks High School is one of the highest ranking schools in Oklahoma. I also attended Jenks High School and received my high school diploma. I acquired tons of knowledge and skills through JHS. JHS provides the students with excellent curriculum. There are many differents courses that you can choose excluding the core classes. Moreover, the teaching methods was perfect and the teachers in JHS always include some activities or games in their lectures, which help the students to understand and know the materials in particular chapters and lectures well. In my math class, the teacher would assign us in group of three or four and did review activities. Activities were a fun way to learn new skills and prepare for the exams. Furthermore, the teachers in JHS are knowledgeable and intelligent. Since they know about their subject content very well, they understand what is the best way to teach that content to their students. Worksheets, study guides, group activities, interactive lectures, and extra credits opportunities assist the students to keep good grades. More importantly, all students are allowed to ask questions about the lessons or the lectures that they do not quite understand to the teachers after school. Since we have the opportunity to talk to the teachers about things we don't understand, there is a greater chance to enhance our skills and knowledge. In conclusion, I am so grateful and thankful to the teachers for teaching me new things and helping me to gain a valuable knowledge and skills.
