Overall Experience: This school really made me look at my future again and made me realize how close college actually is. I loved this school. It's so small that everyone knows everyone within the first month or so. You make lasting relationships too. I would choose this school again just because of the life lessons and friendships I had. We also had a good mentoring system too.

Resources & Facilities: This academy is fairly knew, I would've been in the 5th graduating class, so the building is in great condition. Technology is pretty up to date. Every student is required to take a college prep class every year. It's a full year class and specifically for each individual class (i.e. 2017, 2016, 2015 future grads); plus, each class keeps the same teacher for their four years in high school allowing the students and teacher to form a close bond. Tutoring is widely available; since the students are enrolled in the college, they have access to those resources as well. Parents are extremely involved and busing is available for everyone.

Sports & Fitness: Because this is an early college academy, sports aren't the main highlight. There are no official teams, but the college has necessary facilities for p.e. and after school activities.

Teachers: The teachers do all they can to help the students succeed and the student to teacher ratio is low enough that everyone gets the one on one approach that we need to succeed. Each teacher has their own style of teaching and most make it very fun and engaging. I really miss my school!!!

Student Culture & Diversity: Whites actually tend to be the minority, with Blacks and then Hispanics taking the lead. Despite the diversity, everyone is pretty accepting and overall friendly. (normal high school drama is there of course) Most students are involved in some sort of club or extracurricular activity.
