Overall Experience: I love this school a lot. I will miss most of the things about it but not all. The school is a whole different atmosphere and setting than other high schools. Of course we don't have homecoming or sports, but we have other things to make up for it and the school tries really hard to implement normal high school things in our busy schedules. As a school we have experienced the loss of many wonderful staff members and we have celebrated the arrival of new students and awards that students receive. I would totally choose this school again and again, because I don't know where else I would be without JECA. I truly love the experience and opportunity to meet such wonderful people in my life. My friends are the best and I could never ask for anymore than them. They each give me something special and I truly cherish it. This school is just a huge difference then normal high school and I'm proud to be a JECA student.

Academics: The academics here are really the best. We have the highest scores and we are currently the only school in Texas to have 4 stars. That is a huge award for all the students and teachers. They work us hard to achieve these kinds of things.

Extracurriculars: The extracurricular organizations are always giving us opportunities to spend time after school doing a fun event of some sort. They organize dances, socials of every kind, and volunteer chances for us to get community service hours.

Food: It is school lunch, its pretty good for being that; especially the snack bar.

Sports & Fitness: Well we are a school of academics, so we don't have any athletic programs, besides one year of gym with a coach. We usually play during lunch, students bring their own balls and the coach provides the other equipment that we cannot provide. There is also a gym at Northeast Lakeview College and many students stay after school to use the gym and work out for free until 5 o'clock.
