Kenwood High School Reviews
Rating 3.77 out of 5 229 reviews
Kenwood is... mixed. It's incredibly diverse and students of all disabilities, races, and backgrounds attend here. The thing is, there are constant threats and mentions of gun violence which make things a bit uncomfortable. The teachers are pretty cool and the staff is helpful. The issue is in the students themselves. Not to mention, we've had two cases of staff being pedophilic towards students. Swiftly fired and taken care of, but still something to take into account. I wish this school did more to help the students who needed help and offered more opportunities, along with cracking down on heavier security.
Some of the teachers are rather lackluster, ranging from difficult to interact with due to poor attitude, or simply being demeaning, degrading, holier-than-thou, favoritism following teachers. The school is reasonably safe, fights were fairly common.
There are good and bads at this school. The saviors of these hall are likely most of the teachers. The Teachers use their own money to fund the classrooms, lessons, and try to prepare the students while facing disrespect. Many of the teachers will take their time listening to you and being kind, which is what this school needs. On the other hand, the students lack discipline, preparation, respect, and the ability to make this school a academic environment, which honestly saddens me. It is hard to focus and learn in a school where the common thing to do is resign yourself to a future given to you by your own self-sabotage. I would like to see the environment these halls to change and for others to take both others future and their own into consideration.
