Extracurriculars: There are several after-school activities at Lakeside. For example there are sports, academic clubs, fun clubs. Some after-school activities require a 5 days a week commitment and others have a meeting once every 1-2 months.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Lakeside High School have been great. The past four years are defiantly going to be remembered. I would have to say my favorite experience at Lakeside would have to be at the football games in the student section. I would talk to other students that I would not normally talk to. Lakeside is unique because I feel like this school is more of a family. In a way that it is always a pleasure to see teachers and administration waving to myself and other class mates in the halls. More of a friend than a superior when necessary.

Teachers: The teachers at Lakeside High School are the ones that I enjoy to be around. They care about not only my grades and study skills but my well being and safety. I find Lakeside High School to have some of the best teachers in Georgia.

Academics: The AP Literature and AP History classes are the best, hands down. They over-prepare you for whatever college you plan on attending. The AP Calc department is substantial, but there's no preparing for Calculus at Georgia Tech. I highly recommend the AP courses, because the teachers are amazing, and you'll learn a lot of useful and fun information.

Student Culture & Diversity: Public schools like Lakeside are often more diverse and therefore, more meaty when it comes to the range of possible social experiences. There's peer pressure like any high school, but there's also a lot of heart.
