Health & Safety: People I know of have drank, used drugs and are sexually active. Weed is the most common drug but a much smaller crowd uses pills etc. However there is little pressure to partake if you have the right friends and I haven't ever felt threatened or pressured during my time at Leander.

Overall Experience: I've really loved Leander. The IB program has provided me with challenging curriculum and competent engaging and knowledgeable teachers as well as quirky and amazing classmates. I have made lasting friendships and feel that despite some cliques the social dynamic is diverse and fluid. The sports are wonderful to play and watch because of the atmosphere (and the band is prime). Leander will not make you feel as though you need to fit a mold.

Food: The food is eh. The cafeteria got a remodel last year though so the facilities are nice and there are plenty of choices as to where you sit. The snack selection is slowly being reduced to nothing.

Sports & Fitness: At Leander Football is the main sport ( but its Texas, so what do you expect?). We have decent volleyball, tennis, and track/ cross country, swim and baseball/ softball teams. School spirit is a big deal, but if pep is not your thing you won't be shunned. All of the sports teams aside from football and baseball had members advance beyond our district and be competitive there.

Extracurriculars: If you want to get involved in something at LHS there is a spot for you and it is fairly easy to start new clubs if one doesn't exist that fits your interest. Clubs range from academic to hobby related and everything in between. The sports are competitive due to our size and some teams are more inclusive than others, but you should be able to find a way to stay fit .
