From Loyola Academy

Welcome to Loyola Academy! Located in Wilmette, just 20 minutes north of Chicago, we are faith-based and mission driven. Loyola is a diverse and committed community responding to our God-given call to become women and men for others who are religious, intellectually competent, physically fit, loving, open to growth and committed to doing justice.

Founded in 1909, Loyola Academy is a co-educational college preparatory school rooted in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola. We are proud to be a part of the rich tradition of Jesuit education, which is the oldest and most distributed system of secondary education in the world, dating back to 1548. Our guiding motto is “Women and Men for Others, Leaders in Service.”

Students come to Loyola from 90+ zip codes, bringing with them a diversity of thought, background and experience. Here, Ramblers encounter a transformative journey of faith, scholarship, friendship and service. It’s a journey that lasts a lifetime.
