Extracurriculars: There are many different clubs and organizations to join and there is always a way to be involved. PALs was one of my favorite parts about this year as well as Tennis. The team effort that is placed makes each group successful.

Health & Safety: Douglas MacArthur high school is a closed campus. Students are not allowed to leave any part of the day, with the exception of high school seniors whom have early release and of course parent permission. Overall the general health of the school is decent the nurse office is open to students however a pass is always required even in emergencies. There are tons of clubs to join and become socially active, bullying is taken very serious but is uncommon.

Teachers: The teachers are always willing to help ones in need and all the student has to do is ask. The teachers show up almost two hours before school starts and stay about an hour and a half after school to be available for the student that may need help. The teachers are always on top of putting in grades on parent portal and usually are up in two days. You can tell by being a student in the classroom that the main goal of the teachers is to keep students engaged and help them to succeed. You can tell that they really enjoy what they do.
