Sports. Sports is the main concern at Martinsburg. The football team, basketball team, etc. gets many things handed to them. Cleanliness was very poor. Administration was never seen unless had to be. If anyone important was coming to are school then our school would put on a show.

This school places a very high importance level on certain male sports, and that is really all the school cares about. Our school maintenance is very poor and male athletes are treated like royalty compared to other students. I feel like my school should place more of an importance on education instead of sports, and then it will be a better atmosphere for all students. Most of the schools in my area are like this, so if I had to choose a school around where I live I would still choose Martinsburg, but I always hoped I could have been a student at a school that is different than this.

The school is known for football. Nothing else matters nearly as much. We have enough money to send our teams to Hawaii and buy flat screen TVs for the halls (and then mute them), but not enough to even put soap in our bathrooms.
