Student Culture & Diversity: We have the occasional rumor like any school. The race, sexual orientation, and activities of a person are discussed. However, the person is usually never forced to become or act different.

Academics: In order to benefit, it is emphasized that a student must be willing to help themselves before any problems or needs can be met or dealt with.

Health & Safety: The health and safety policies at the school are very well-known and fall within reasonable limits. Between classes, teachers are generally very watchful over the safety of others and our school police officer does not need to take serious action very often. The nurse's office remains efficient, clean, and confidential. Our teachers are ready to take quick and careful action during procedures such as fire and tornado drills, or if their is another I have noticed our school being generally calm and the number of fights, drug busts, and gossip is relatively small.

Extracurriculars: Our school involves high focus on clubs such as student government and Key Club. Our Key Club holds high regard for helping other organizations and vice versa. Members of our student government as well as our Peer Mentors organization have been very helpful in keeping the school at its best while still being themselves and not letting the responsibility get to their heads. Our clubs and organizations have clearly helps both teachers and students work together better and display commitment to others in a way that has clearly improved from previous years.

Overall Experience: My experience at this school has been generally good and I have never considered undoing any part of it. Like most schools, there are definitely ups and downs included, but problems have been worked through efficiently by both staff and students, and everybody has been able to move along well. Our school has even created an app called the "Bully Box" where the students can anonymously report bullying, in an effort to lessen bullying. Assemblies have also been established by our Student Committee for Positive Change, in order to change the negative attitudes so that our school can become a more positive environment. Friendships are strong between students and if I could restart my freshman year, the main thing I would change is worrying about what others thought of me. Most students are generally nice and the minimal outward comparison assists everyone with academics and their approach to adulthood.
