Health & Safety:
The campus was locked up this year, making it much more difficult for unauthorized/dangerous individuals to enter from outside the school- which was and still is entirely plausible, given the number of doors in the building. There doesn't seem to be too much bullying (though it is there), but there can be some nasty fights. Some of these can be mere catfights, while others are full-blown physical incidents- namely the stabbing in the lobby a few years back. However, if you stay out of the violent circles, you'll probably be fine. Gang violence or anything of that nature isn't a problem here.
Health education here isn't bad, but the constant influx of student teachers and lack of interest from the students make it unmeaningful. The nurse isn't even full-time, and ice packs tend to go quickly. The counselors can be very helpful or very unhelpful depending on who you talk to, but I personally believe that the school tends to do whatever it can within what it perceives as its realistic realm of power to help its students with safety and/or health issues.
