I feel like the quality of my education has been excellent so far. Although I have personally struggled some, I feel supported and sufficiently prepared for my post-secondary education. MHS gives you opportunities to personalize your path so you can choose classes that are relevant to your passions. We have plenty of clubs and teams, and we're the number one school in WV for a reason!
I moved to Morgantown High to start my freshman year. Overall, the school is very welcoming and a blast. I think that our school environment is super safe, friendly, and very diverse. Our academics are top-notch and challenging, and we have so many options with classes. I think that Morgantown High kind of mirrors a small college's layout and number of courses offered. Lastly, the after-school circulars are great. Clubs and sports are a huge part of our school. The school spirit is awesome! Great school, teachers, and students!
I have benefited from this high school in many ways. Academically, it has gotten me where I am for college. The counselors have helped me make sure everything is up to date and completed for my future. With sports, I've football, basketball and ran track at Morgantown High. My coaches and the programs have made me so much stronger and improved my skills significantly. The best part about my school is that I feel that I'm learning, but its not a 'no fun zone' kind of school. We have fun, and play our fair share of games while working hard in the classroom. On the other hand, I'd have to say my least favorite part is how little the student parking lot is. The lot is only for seniors who have paid for a parking pass, but juniors and sophomores still sneak their cars in.
