Extracurriculars: My freshman year of school at Mountain View I participated in the future Business Leaders of America, worked with March of Dimes to fundraise for premature infancy problems, played an active roll in the orchestra program, and was part of a History group/club. There are so many options for each and every student at Mountain View, and anybody can fit into any group that they choose because we work hard to accommodate to students. We have some of the best performing arts programs in the state, as well as many highly acclaimed athletic programs such as our track and field teams and our wrestling team, which has won State Championships.

Overall Experience: There isn't a school that I can picture myself attending besides Mountain View. We have some of the best staff in the nation who hold many education awards. We have a very strong sense of academia and high respect for learning in our environment. There are so many ways to get involved beyond the classroom, and we all take pride as a student body in each other's achievements such as the Wrestling victory at State Championships or the Toro Marching Band traveling to London to play in the London New Year's day Parade in 2015-2016.

Teachers: At Mountain View High in Mesa, there really isn't one way to describe to entirety of the educational staff. We have incredible teachers that go above and beyond to incorporate realistic and applicable scenarios into their lessons, all while making it exciting and understandable, yet we also have the teachers who hand out worksheets and wait until the end of class to collect them and do not really say much to their students. The great thing about the staff at Mountain View is its diversity, and how there is always the perfect teacher for each student in all core subjects and many additional electives as well. Having a set of teachers that have so many different teaching styles and personalities definitely makes the school year much more exciting rather than sitting through 6 hours of directions and worksheets.

Extracurriculars: There are a good number of clubs at the school. They have students take charge of these. There is always a teacher present though. However because the students are in charge the clubs can be disorganized.

Overall Experience: I really loved going to Mountain View. My only issue was they weren't that focused on the arts. It was mostly all about the athletics. I'm not a sports person so that didn't appeal to me. However my overall learning experience was very positive!
