Health & Safety: Too many doors have been found unlocked during class time.

Overall Experience: Many academic changes need to be made. Make a set number of hours available for students who find a particular subject difficult,to get some one on one instruction.

Teachers: Not enough special attention or assistance given to students struggling to understand a certain subject.Even going into the classroom in early am is not utilized well by the teachers. The supportive alliance that should extend between parents is sometimes almost non-existent!

Extracurriculars: Most of the activities focus on sports and there is not a ton for those who are more interested in the arts and academia. There are options, but the clubs are neglected.

Overall Experience: After transferring to a state boarding school and meeting other kids from different parts of North Carolina, I realized how lucky I was to go to North Buncombe. Many of the teachers are wonderful and the classes are, for most people, appropriately challenging. The food is not the best, but there is free breakfast.
