North Penn Senior High School Reviews

I would say North Penn High School is an above-average kind of high school. There are ups and downs with the school but in all consideration, it scores high in most subjects and prepares students well for careers and post-education up ahead. While the building may be a bit old and torn down, they are looking to renovate the entire system. Besides that, they educate topics well for the most part and lets students explore creatively and excel in classes.
North Penn High School, located in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, is not just the building I walk into each school day. It is the sum of many parts, some of which include our dedicated teachers and coaches as well as their excellent academic classes and successful athletic programs. North Penn also sponsors diverse clubs and activities which are important to the growth of over 3000 multi-cultural students in grades 10-12. Changes I would like to see are renovations to the classrooms and expansion to integrate a ninth grade class into the high school. I think this would be a benefit to the school's sport programs, student organizations and provide the students with what is considered a quality high school experience. The best part is the fun I had these past 3 years and due to the large student body, I formed many rewarding friendships. The bonds created and the many memories and interpersonal experiences, will prepare me for college and beyond.
North Penn High School is a very large high school with about 3,000 students in grades 10-12. The downside of the school is it is very large so sports can be challenging but there are many other options outside of school like travel teams to pursue athletics. They offer a wide range of academic and vo-tech options and I feel they really prepared me for colllege.
North Penn High School is a diverse and positive learning environment for students like me that encourages academic and personal growth. The variety of extracurricular activities ensures well round students like myself to success post secondary. North Penn promotes a sense of community among students and provides us to grow and be whoever we want to be.
North Penn has proven to be an excellent fit for me, providing ample opportunities for academic and musical involvement that have greatly enriched my overall experience. I have a particular fondness for the music program, and the science courses have played a pivotal role in inspiring my career aspiration to become a chemical engineer. While there is room for improvement in the school's infrastructure, it's reassuring to know that these concerns are actively being discussed by the school board. All in all, North Penn is an amazing school that has contributed significantly to my personal and educational growth.
I overall had a good experience with my high school. There are things regarding cleanliness in the bathrooms and things not working. I can also see though, that my school is attempting to fix it.
Id like for the school to be physically nicer. The teachers are great, and the academic successes are also great, but the school itself is falling apart. Id also like to see a later start for all students, as the school day starts way too early.
With learning disability students, the school falls short and doesn't give requested items. If they do. It takes to much time
It was overall a good experience. One thing I do not like is that there are different class rules in each class when it come to things like grading, being late, late work, and I feel it should be more consistent.
My experience in North Penn is exquisite. The time I’ve spent in this school, overall, was really fun and engaging. All my teachers that I have gotten have always been fun to listen to, and you easily get engaged with the learning material. My best experiences would be the clubs, all your peers are welcoming and you are always surrounded by a warm embrace. However, North Penn is not all the best. There’s a grading policy in which 50% of your grade results from tests; Not all students are exactly excited about this policy. Many test takers, including me, have difficulty with taking tests with high pressure. It’s understandable to make homework a less percentile of your grade for club members who don’t have enough time. However, this just doesn’t fit right with many North Penn students.
My time at North Penn has been fairly good overall. I met amazing people and teachers who have guided me and endlessly helped when it was needed. However, there can be room for change. When it comes to a teacher not being sufficient in a students career or even being rude, we should have the option to switch teachers. I, for one have went through this and It took a toll on me, making me anxious to go to her math class. I have taken so much action such as talking to my guidance counselor three times, and telling multiple other teachers and even my parents. But nothing was done. Resulting me in a low grade for the class. To end on a positive note, I love the diversity and inclusiveness in the activites.
I enjoyed the wide range of classes NPHS offered. The school district definitely made sure that we had adequate equipment and supplies. I appreciated how there were so many science classes beyond the basic high school science classes. I would like to see more renovations to the buildings take place, though I know the school board plans on implementing some changes in the next 10 years or so.
The best parts of my experience is making new connections and having a lot of opportunities to grow in different areas with the many courses and clubs they provide. My worst experience would honestly have to be some of the teachers. Either they don’t know how to do their jobs or they feel the need to be rude and not open.
the best part of the experience was getting to meet all kinds of people. meeting all these new people and getting the chance to interact with people i normally might not be able to was a great experience. also, my ap chem teacher was the best. the worst part may be the actual teachers. a lot of them are not qualified to be teaching the classes they are teaching, and really messed up my grades and high school experience and added unnecessary stress. i would like to see better teachers being hired with higher standards.
North Penn High School has been an exceptional experience for me as a rising senior. The band program is outstanding, with a dedicated director and talented musicians. Participating in various clubs, like the National Honor Society and Model United Nations, has allowed me to explore my passions and develop leadership skills. Academically, North Penn offers a rigorous curriculum with knowledgeable teachers and support programs. The school fosters a strong sense of community, evident in the school spirit and camaraderie within extracurricular groups. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, providing state-of-the-art resources. Overall, North Penn High School has provided me with a memorable and rewarding high school experience, preparing me for college and beyond.
My experience at North Penn High School is one that I hold very near and dear to my heart. I think for being a public school NPHS has an array of different clubs, programs, and opportunities for their students to engage and partake in. The school is very good at promoting diversity but needs to act on it a bit more. The school has been generally good and open minded with taking into account student's mental health and allowing more safe spaces for students to express their concerns with the school and where the school needs to improve.
At North Penn High School, I always had the opportunity to meet a large variety of people due to the large class size. There are over 1000 kids in each grade, so you get to meet many different people. Also, there are many classes offered which allows everyone to explore what they’re interested in.
