Overall Experience: I love NHS alot, but there are some things that need work. Our principal needs to be more in touch with the students. Most of the time we see her she isnt really too friendly to have a conversation with, shes usually on her phone everytime ive seen her in the hallway. Also, administrators tend to drag their feet when something is asked of them, like getting homework for the sick people, or getting a new coach for wrestling beacause our team NEEDS summer practices and the coach was fired. I get its summer vacation, but the Admins still have a job to do, it dosent just stop because vacation is here. The wrestling team was told we would have a new coach by the end of the school year, its almost July and we haven't even heard from anyone about summer practices. I asked the Principal to notify my parents when a new coach was aquired. This is my Senior year, and I am not pleased with the way it is going so far, But I'd probrably still choose Northridge if I had to do it all over again; this school is home for me even if its not the best.

Overall Experience: It may not be the best, and i may complain a lot, but ive loved my experience at this school. I've met a lot of really amazing friends here. Ive met amazing teachers here. There are lots of class opportunities, at least for the field i want to be in. Almost everyone gets along, there's rarely incidents of fights any more. You have your druggies and people that just don't care, but theyre still great people. If my school was as prestigious as the others, those people wouldn't be here. Nearly every teacher ive had has shown interest in my future. They care about how i do in class, how i do at home. I can't say the same for my counselors or administrators. That must be because i try and stay out of the office though. I have a very varying opinion of Northridge, but i would never give it up.

Food: I personally don't like cafeteria food. I feel like alot of people that work in there are just slapping stuff on plates. I know alot of people that like it, i guess i just have higher standards. That, and it's not too hard for me to provide my own lunch. But by what i do know of the food, it's not very good.

Administration & Policies: I hate our administrative team. Every good person we've had has left of been fired (sound familiar?). They don't care about the students unless you're in the office every other day. I had to pay testing fines and got told to "come back at a better time" because they had to eat lunch, after i had been waiting for them to come back to the office for at least 30 minutes. I can't tell you the last time my counselor was concerned for me, except when i had to email her about said test fines. Don't get me wrong, some are pretty okay. But even from the nicer ones, i get stuck up attitudes or the feeling like you're not important enough.

Sports & Fitness: I'm not the sportsy type. I was in marching band 2 years, but that's all. Our football field is great compared to what i see at other high schools. We have an actual 'stadium', not just bleachers. The track runs around our football field, giving officials a nice center area during our meets. I've never been in the locker rooms, nor have i ever used sports equipment, so I am not fit to judge those aspects. We don't have any type of pool, we use the city's rec center.
