Extracurriculars: We're not as good as Lane but we still have some trophies to show off.

Admissions: If you want to spend 4 years of your life at an easy school, this is not for you. It's tough but only those who are willing to work at it will obtain the greatness that Payton can give you.

Resources & Facilities: The school building itself is very nice and modern. The new annex is going to be nice, but I will have graduated by the time it is done. There is one really open "computer lab" and that is the library. There are two other computer labs/classrooms but are usually only used for classes. The library can get very full, not all of the computers work, and all of them are super slow, making it hard to get stuff done. Guidance counselors are great (really depends on who you have) and work with you closely as soon as you are accepted into Payton to get you college-bound. Tutoring is always available by National Honors Society students, and all teachers are willing to give extra help. Pretty much everyone gets to school on public transportation: red line or division bus.

Overall Experience: Payton's student environment is atypical for most Chicago Public high schools. All students here are very motivated to do well, which made me strive for the best. I learned a lot about myself, my strengths and weaknesses, and how to cope with stress. As a senior, I feel like I am ready for the workload of college. I have made many friends at Payton, and I know my peers will be successful people in the future.

Food: I don't eat the food, I pack my own lunch.
