Ross High School Reviews
Rating 3.96 out of 5 154 reviews
My relationship with the staff at Ross High School is rocky. For the most part, I have loved all my teachers (even if I haven't always loved the way they teach). I have taken some classes that have greatly influenced my character, but the influence comes less from the content of the class and more from the person teaching it. While the teachers are often superb, the "higher-ups" are less so. I do not feel a connection between students and the Principal or Counselors or Vice-Principal, etc. and it's very unfortunate! I would love to feel like my school genuinely cares for whatever issues students address, but at times I simply don't feel that way. For one of my classes, I voiced my concerns with the school... and while the audience clearly listened, nothing changed. Nothing progressed. Nothing happened! It was incredibly disappointing and I just wish that student voices were listened to and also responded to.
I would say my experience with Ross High School is overall good. All the teachers I have had are wonderful. The staff is definitely what I would say is the best part of my experience. However, I have had a new counselor every year over my four years at the school. This has led to a lot of scheduling issues and has made it hard to connect with my counselor.
Throughout my four years at Ross High School, I have had an amazing experience. From the teachers and staff to the class options and extra circulars, everything has been organized in a way that sets me up well for my future. From my experience, the staff at Ross High School are always available to ask questions and even stay after school hours to help students with any needs. The culture of Ross is a welcoming environment that includes everyone regardless of background and provides every student with the necessary requirements needed to graduate high school and continue their educational careers into the future. I have gone to Ross local school districts all of my life, and I can confidently state that I could not be more prepared to take on my future. Overall, Ross High School is a 10/10 school that deserves more recognition and appreciation.
