Overall Experience: Sabine has both good and bad aspects, but when it comes to what really matters--education--the school is lacking in teaching material that will help students in higher education outside of Kilgore college.

Teachers: There are some absolutely wonderful teachers like Mr. Gatons and Mrs. Hedrick, but the majority of the teachers don't care, aren't knowledgeable, and are unavailable.

Academics: Sabine offers very generic classes which do no prepare students for big universities. The classes do not offer enough of a challenge to prepare for college, and they often do not even cover the most basic material expected to be learned. The majority of the staff is comprised of coaches who either don't really care about the teaching side or are not skilled enough to teach. The math department is the worst at the school because absolutely none of the teachers for my class taught us anything we needed to know at all.

Student Culture & Diversity: The school is comprised of mostly white, baptist conservatives.

Health & Safety: The school is pretty good about knowing who is on the campus at what time and exactly what each person is doing. However, when it comes to problems among students or faculty, the administration is not great about addressing problems. They often overlook bullying problems and make the victim feel at fault.
