Santee Education Complex Reviews
Rating 3.89 out of 5 279 reviews
My favorite part of Santee Education Complex was that most teachers and counselors were always kind and caring for their students and their grades. Thanks to my teachers and counselors I was able to get into Cal Poly Pomona and get a scholarship from the Assistance League Los Angeles. Everything was great about it, the only thing I would like to see change is the addition of more types of AP classes. I took 10 out of the 12 AP classes they offered but they didn't have AP chemistry or AP computer science classes for a modern high school.
I have only attended Santee Education Complex for about a month and I can say many good things about this school. Although this school is very different from my previous school, I can say there are things I admire about this school, for example, the diversity, clean space, and how involved they make the students here. In my old school the diversity wasn't that big, but coming to this school, I was very shocked about how different the diversity was here. The teachers are honestly good here and they are very kind and helped me adjust well, along with how playful they can be to light up the mood in the class while making sure we finish our assignments and don't get off track for too long. I came from an arts school so I was afraid that there weren't gonna be many people who express themselves through their appearance, but I did quickly learn that the school here doesn't have a strict dress code that will restrict students from expressing themselves through their clothing. Great school.
Since we do not live in an area where we can have access to high-end resources, I feel like us as students are not able to reach our full potential because we do not have the right resources. From my experience, the staff are always worried about the big plans such as field trips and senior activities because they are trying to make the year fun but because they are worried about that when you come to them for help they are not the best of help. Instead I have to go search and find an outside resource or find someone who can actually help me.
