There are teachers that I wonder how they got a teaching job, but there are some great teachers. I was lucky to get five fantastic teachers in my four years at South. But the bad thing is that they don't get enough credit for being a great teacher.

First with the bad teachers, I got stuck with this pre calculus teacher that was probably the worst teacher I've ever encountered. Sweet lady, horrible explainer. Her teaching style was for the students who did not know how to do the problem explain how to do it and her not even correct or explain the problem, then go onto the lesson plan. The other teachers weren't as bad but most teachers did not care about anything. Overall, I give her a one out of ten.

The good teachers were all sweet, felt like they genuinely cared about their students getting a good grade and actually know what they are doing! For example, my senior year, anatomy class. She explains everything very well making sure you know it, an actual fun class to be in, and a class that I actually enjoy being in. Overall, I give her a ten out of ten.

South is overall a great school. Great school spirit and fun activities make the experience of being a South kid fun. "Class Comps" are one of my favorite activities for every class dresses up in their class color and if you are in the club, Members at Large, you come at 6:00 AM to help set up and decorate the "mall". Each class is then judged on the games we play, class spirit, and how well the mall is decorated. South also has a lip dub video which is still gaining over a thousand views on Youtube. Although some teachers aren't amazing, other teachers try to make the classes an enjoyable experience and all the students at South are somewhat friendly to eachother! All in all, I love South!

I really like, for the most part, my teachers and the learning experience I get at South. However, there are a few things I would change. For instance, new AP teachers should go through extensive training so that they are able to properly teach the material, and those teachers should be in contact with other AP teachers who can help guide them. Furthermore, there are some sports that have unfair tryouts, where only those who have connections, or have done that coach's club team, are allowed on the team. Lastly, I would improve the clubs, since I have gone to many club meetings, expecting a club that I would get really into and would improve my life, but more times than not I just ended up being really disappointed.
