Academics: It's entirely up to you how rigorous you want to be. You talk with your counselor to decide your schedule, but ultimately it's your choice. APs come with more work, some more so than others. There are APs that everyone takes.

Student Culture & Diversity: The thing about South is although we are incredibly diverse, we really are sectioned off into categories. AP students mainly hang out with other kids in their class;standard students talk to other standard students. Sports are one area where we come together, but again clubs generally have one or two kinds of people in them.

Extracurriculars: We have so many different options and ways to get involved. It's not very hard to create a club if you feel you don't fit in. But all you have to do is look and you'll find a niche.

Overall Experience: My favorite thing about this school is the diversity. There isn't a majority at our school: 30% white, 30% black, 30% hispanic, 10% Asian/Native-american/Indian etc.

Teachers: Most of the teachers are knowledgeable in the content areas. This year all classrooms have excellent access to technology. It is very easy to contact teachers, and they all offer some form of tutoring/assistance outside of class.
