Teachers: Some go above and beyond. Some don't try, or don't help failing students.

Extracurriculars: There are many clubs that are way too exclusive, and focus on seeming like Greek life at colleges, I.e. Sororities and Fraternities- a.k.a. partying, having customized t-shirts and elitist attitudes. Very little felt driven by philanthropic and volunteering efforts like they were supposed to have been. It's more about students wanting to gain popularity and social acceptance than make a difference within their school or community.

Overall Experience: There were experiences that made this school enjoyable, sporting events, becoming friends with teachers and fellow peers, but there was once a sense of tradition that was very valuable at one point in time, that rapidly declined in the short time I attended. The school itself is of beautiful, historic design, but outdated air conditioning, plumbing, and cleanliness. I would choose to attend there all over again if I had to because comparatively to what I've heard it's still light years better, safer, and more educational than the surrounding schools in my area.

Teachers: The teachers at this high school were more challenged by overcrowding, uninspired students who were failed by "No Child Left Behind" in their public school educations up to that point. The teachers who went above and beyond to help their students achieve and become immersed in the outdated curriculum they were forced to teach were the real heroes of the school. Many had no desire to be there teaching and it was evident, there was a clear downhill spiral that was practically crashed and burning by the time I graduated.

Extracurriculars: The extracurriculars are part of what makes the school spirit so strong! All the kids are competitive and committed, resulting in great teams and devoted clubs.
