I would have chosen this school if I had the chance. Thankfully, my parents were already ready to sent me to this wonderful school. Topeka High School is one of the best because of everything there is to do in this school. For example, all the different clubs you can join, all the events you can watch or participate, and the traditions they keep (like running in the halls). I honestly suggest it to others to come to this school because the teachers and students make you feel welcomed. The amount of diversity in this school is great. We have a combination of people, from different cites, to state, and countries! I am glad I got to spend my high school years the way I did.

There are TONS of options for getting involved! There are clubs and activities for everyone. It's really easy to get involved if you really want to. There are plays each quarter, musical ensembles or sport teams for players of all levels, there is after-school tutoring every day, chess club, anime club, math club, anything you could possibly want! And if we don't have it already, you can get a teacher sponsor and talk to the administration and start it, I've been a founding member of 2 clubs, this year alone!

The open lunch policy must stay. Debate over it makes students and faculty too uneasy about the problematic proposals of a 6-lunch period system. Although I understand the safety concerns of entry/exit and hall passing, it has become far too strict and overbearing with planner checks and ID badges. Students should be held accountable for their actions and suffer from the consequences of missing class on their own accord. Competition between 2 prominent student organizations in the school has ruined school spirit and participation. LINK crew needs to be an organization which deals solely with freshman mentoring, and no further events beyond such. Student Government must rise as a prominent organization within the school to regain school spirit and involvement for activities and events.
