Extracurriculars: There are extracurricular activities that everyone can enjoy from sports clubs, to coding, to community service, or even religious clubs. The extracurricular are what give a sense of community and belonging in a school. At the end of the day you wont remember the grade you got you will remember how much fun you had while you were there. The clubs are very organized and student run. There are multiple resources to start a new club.

Overall Experience: In the end it's what you make of it. If you do your homework on time, study for exams (don't cram everything the night before - I repeat NO CRAMMING), and hand in your projects then you should do perfectly fine. Also don't even think about cutting or skipping class - you get demerits/penalty for it and if you accrue enough demerits you won't be able to do certain school activities such as attending prom. But by senior year you'll have made it into a really great college and made lasting friendships!

Food: The cafeteria food is the same food you got during your elementary/middle school lunches - basically whatever the DOE gives for public school students to eat (ex. pizza, hamburgers, fries, etc.). There is, however, plenty of snack vending machines where you can choose to buy chips or fruit if you're in the mood. In addition, once you become a senior you have the privilege to order take-out from the various restaurants nearby the school.
