Teachers: There are many who go above and beyond, but not enough

Academics: The teachers my daughters have had are caring, intelligent and helpful. I went to talk to a math teacher about my daughter's schedule two days before the school year started. Mrs. Burgess, the principal, stopped me and yelled at me. I would never speak to another adult they way she talked to me. I don't know why she is allowed to stay at that school.

Health & Safety: A visitor has to be buzzed in through a locked door which brings you into the office. If you want to go into the actual school, you have to leave your driver's license. I think its a pretty safe place. The nurse has always been available and helpful when my daughter needed her.

Extracurriculars: There are a lot of clubs to join. There is usually a "Club Day" every month. The students can attend 2 clubs on that day. My daughter is in "Friends of Rachel". Her friend wanted to start a club to support to the lesbian /gay/ bisexual community. The principal made her jump through so many hoops. The principal kept putting her off and I think hoping she would give up, but she didn't. My daughter says there are so many kids in that club that they barely fit in the library. But they had to do a lot more things to start that club than any other new club. The principal is prejudice and a bully.
