West Charlotte High School Reviews
Rating 3.4 out of 5 168 reviews
I've attended West Charlotte Highschool for all of my highschool years. I've experienced the old school, virtual learning, post covid and even present day experience. I can say the school has many issues regarding resources for help involving staff, materials, and counseling for many students. This school has one of the best cultures in the country, with dubc being repped all the way in Africa. The one thing stressed the most at the school is pride, excellence and effort. These have been instilled in students and is shown by the alumni day in and day out. The biggest issue would truly be the amount of students who are unwilling to take school seriously. Many of these students just don't see the point in going to a place for 8 hours just to be told what to do. Shoot, they get told the same things at home. Overall, West Charlotte is a safe haven for many in the entire West side of Charlotte with being the host of many food drives, sporting events, marches, and parades for the community.
At West Charlotte High School, I've seen many events that benefits students, especially the seniors. One of those events is called "Decision Day" and it's basically when the seniors of the school have a day towards the end of the school year where they share with the school what college they're attending. Free application week is another event that benefits the seniors of the school and it's where the seniors can apply to the colleges they want to attend for free. I've never had any bad experience at West Charlotte because all I really do is my work for my classes and do my best each day.
West Charlotte is definitely one of the best schools that I have attended. We have many resources that allow us to strive and ready ourselves. I know of this app because of my counselor told me to look into it. The programs are very future helping and allows growth for the students. I am apart of the JROTC and Health Sciences class. As I want to become a travel nurse.
