Health & Safety: There is a lot of drug use at Western, but most of the time, teachers turn the other cheek toward it, and do not contact anyone about it. There are courses on the effects of drug use, and the teachers think that is enough to show students not to do drugs. The health of this school is very iffy to say in the least because the nurse only comes in one day a week.

Extracurriculars: There are a lot of opportunities at Western to be apart of. Although we just lost our gay-straight alliance last year, we still have many options. There are many singing group activities, and marching band is available as well. There is also art club and many other clubs (including a writing club in which I started).

Overall Experience: What makes Western so unique is that every corner you turn, there is another great thing happening. Whether it be the winning football team, the great marching band, many winning choir groups or robotics, Western is very involved and good at what they do when it comes to things such as above. But, sadly, due to all of these things happening, Western's education is lacking the attention it needs.

Teachers: Most teachers consider students their "friends", when they should be considering them as actual students. Some students pass classes solely on their relationships with teachers. Not all teachers at Western Alamance are like this, though. Some put in so much effort to make sure the children understand the criteria that is happening.

Health & Safety: I haven't reallt heard of any protocols or anonymous threat services at our school. The only security that is prevalent is the SRO and security cameras all over. There isn't a lot of bullying nor a lot of fights. Violence probably most often occurs on the buses. Drugs and alcohol are very popular but there's not really any pressure to do those things inside of school.
