There are many different extracurricular opportunities at my school. The types of clubs/organizations offer at school goes from beta club to international club. There's national honor society, spirit club, robotics team, science club, math team, student council, and more. The level of commitment range from weekly meetings, a sponsor, and a president/vice president. Some clubs require their members to have certain amount of hours. I believe any of these clubs are fun. It's depending on what the students are interested in. The school gives as mush support as they can, but it is up to the club and sponsor to raise money.

I like my school because it has a culinary program. This is the only reason I'm still attending this school. Due to culinary arts being my career pathway, this caused me to push pass all the negative things about my school. The culinary arts program is the best we cater banquets for school events and attend different field trips to help us understand that there are a variety of opportunities in this industry. If I could do it all over again , I still would chose this school because it open my eyes to possibilities that I didn't even know that was there. I say this because culinary arts really bought out the best in me, by not only teaching me the business part but by showing me that hospitality plays a major role in this industry as well.

Westover High School was a great for me when I attended. Unfortunately, it seems like most of the great teachers have moved away or are being recruited from other schools. Hopefully the school board can offer them incentives to stay instead of accepting better job offers elsewhere to keep Westover great.
