As a recent alumni of Willowbrook High School, I can say that I enjoyed my experiences at this school. I was very active in the school and community and participated in 10+ clubs and activities including 2 different sports. I will say there were some problems like the counseling department I know from other students wasn't always the greatest, but my counselor was always there for me. I also had amazing coaches for the most part, as well as amazing teachers that helped me through so much and I'm still thankful for them today.
An average highschool, needs improvement . Some of our teachers don’t really seem to teach. For example, in my physics class my teacher will just assign us a page in our packet and say to do it, he doesn’t really explain the work to us for us to understand it. Because of this, none of my friends really understand physics and aren’t good at it. Keep in mind we are smart kids that come from honors and AP classes. It is the same thing in my math class, we also move way to fast of pace to actually understand it. Our food really isn’t that good but I guess it’s not the worst possible but it can definitely be better. Most kids don’t seem to really like our school lunch. But the biggest issue I think is some of the teachers but not all because we do have some really good teachers at my school, some of them just need some improvement.
At Willowbrook, the staff and faculty genuinely cares about their students and support individuals from all walks of life. No two students are the same, and my school takes this into account by helping each person find out who they want to become. No matter if the student is interested in college, trades, or opening a business, the school paves the way for post-grad success.
