Overall Experience: Although Whitney Young has some flaws, I'm not sure what other high school would be better. We are well rounded in both academics and sports. I would definitely put this school as my first high school choice over and over again. We are one of the most diverse schools in the nation, and it's definitely apparent. We have so many fun events and diverse clubs that it's really easy to become involved and to fall in love with an activity at this school.v

Overall Experience: This school was awesome. Many of the teachers were excellent with a few exceptions. The after school activities were awesome. My favorite part was the diversity. There were many students from different backgrounds, cultures, traditions and religions. This let me see and learn about many different people and ways of life and brought multiple perspectives to the classrooms.

Overall Experience: I would 1000% choose Whitney Young, every time I have to make the choice of high school. The average commute time has to be somewhere around 45 minutes, which means that people from all over, even from places really far away, come to this school because they too believe that it really is the best. Because it draws from all over the city, the student body is so diverse; As one of the most ethnically diverse schools in CPS, we also boast high interest diversity. Whitney Young isn't a school that specializes. We're good at everything. Sports, Theatre, Art, Academics, the student body is fantastic at all of them, with many students talented in more than one area. Among the student body are found students of every identity and all walks of life; Everyone is unique, and yet they all fit together seamlessly to build one school.

Overall Experience: During my time at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, I met many incredible individuals who I am lucky to still consider some of my best friends. Whitney Young accepts some of the smartest and most unique individuals around the city of Chicago and allows them to gather for four years of adventures. The school is very diverse and allows students to learn not only from the teachers and staff, but from their peers as well. I met many people from various backgrounds and ethnicities which allowed me to become more open minded and learn about people who are different from myself. The school allows a good amount of freedom and the staff always has the students' best intentions in mind.
